Officials in northwest Pakistan say a car bomb near the U.S. consulate in Peshawar has killed at least two people and wounded several others.

Monday's explosion happened in an area of Peshawar that is home to several foreign aid organizations and the United Nations.

Officials have not identified the nationalities of the victims.

There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
