Seven Turkish soldiers have been killed and more than 60 others wounded in an attack on a military convoy by suspected Kurdish rebels.
Turkish security officials say the convoy was hit by a rocket in Bingol province in southeastern Turkey.
Rebels from the Kurdistan Workers' Party, known as the PKK, are active in Turkey's Kurdish-majority southeast.
Fighting has surged in recent months between Turkish security forces and the rebels, who took up arms in 1984 to demand autonomy.
Turkey and much of the international community, including the United States, consider the PKK a terrorist group.
Meanwhile, Danish authorities have arrested eight people suspected of raising and distributing millions of dollars for the PKK. The fundraising was discovered as part of an investigation into Roj TV, a Copenhagen-based Kurdish TV network that Turkey has accused of being a PKK mouthpiece.
A Danish court in January found Roj TV guilty of violating Denmark's anti-terrorism laws.
