Japan Share Prices Fall

Japanese share prices plunged Monday, while the dollar rose against the yen. Tokyo’s Nikkei index dropped nearly two percent , to close at 8,784. In currency trading, the dollar was selling at 76.84 yen, up a fraction from late Friday. Gold was trading at $1899.65 an ounce.

Tokyo Stoks Plunge, Dollar Lower

Japanese share prices plunged Monday, while the dollar fell against the yen. Tokyo’s Nikkei index dropped nearly two percent , to close at 8,784. In currency trading, the dollar was selling at 76.74 yen, down a fraction from late Friday. The Taipei market lost 2.65 percent , to finish at 7,552.
