Sources in the northeastern state of Connecticut say a suspected gunman at an elementary school is dead. Police and other emergency vehicles are at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. Authorities are to provide further details at an afternoon news conference. Early reports said three people had been wounded.
