I read this article at VOA that Mandarin one day will be the largest used language in the internet. here is the link –> Bahasa Mandarin akan Geser Kepopuleran Bahasa Inggris di Internet , 27/09/2012. I’m not surprised since more than 1.3 billion people worldwide speak Chinese and about 885 million of those people speak Mandarin, the China’s official language and dominant dialect; whereas only about 372 million speak English. No wonder, it will also eventually take over the internet world.

Do you think Chinese will take over English as a global language in the future? In terms of  number of the speakers, China is far surpassing English but that is in fact because of the immense population of China. English is spoken by roughly 350 million people across the world and is gaining popularity in terms of usage and adaptability for a long time already, even in China!
