President Barack Obama attempted to ease Americans’ tensions about the threat of terrorism. After meeting with his national security team at the National Counterterrorism Center, Obama said “our intelligence and counterterrorism professionals do not have any specific and credible information about an attack on the homeland.” He explained what is being done to foil attacks and hunt possible terrorists in the U.S. and abroad. His remarks came two weeks to the day that a radicalized Muslim couple opened fire on a holiday party in San Bernardino, killing 14 people.
