While the US results vary somewhat from the global lists (below), the Spotify lists reveal that what Americans listen to is also massively popular with much of the rest of the world.

Drake had been the most streamed artist globally for the past two years, Spotify said.
According to Spotify, Latin music is rapidly increasing in popularity with a 110 percent rise in 2017. Likewise Hip Hop continues to be popular, seeing a 74 percent rise in listening in 2017.
