A 3-meter-tall statue of late U.S. President Ronald Reagan was unveiled in London on Monday to honor the Cold War leader.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague praised the former president as a “great American hero.”
Also present at the monument's unveiling was former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The statue, she said, commemorated a “glorious past.”
The ceremony marked the 100th anniversary of Mr. Reagan's birth. Mr. Reagan died in 2004 having served as president from 1981 to 1989.
The London statue was commissioned by the Reagan Memorial Fund Trust.
Ms. Rice recently attended similar ceremonies in Hungary and the Czech Republic honoring the late American president.
