A Moroccan military transport plane has crashed in a southern region, killing at least 78 people.
The country's state-run MAP news agency says the Royal Armed Forces C-130 aircraft hit a mountain Tuesday as the pilot was preparing to land at an airport near the town of Guelmim.
The report says bad weather was a cause of the crash.
The news agency says three people survived with serious injuries.
It says the Moroccan plane carried 60 soldiers, 12 civilians and 9 crew members.
