A strong 7.2 magnitude earthquake has shaken the Pacific island nation of Fiji.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage and no tsunami warning has been issued.

Friday morning's quake was centered about 120 kilometers southwest of Ndoi Island, 593 kilometers below the surface of the Pacific.
