Afghan officials say a helicopter has crashed into a house in the outskirts of the Afghan capital Kabul, killing five people.

Authorities say the aircraft crashed into the house Friday in the Bagrami district.

It was not immediately clear whether the helicopter was a military or civilian aircraft.

In eastern Afghanistan, NATO says one of its service members died Thursday in a bomb blast.
