A Korean Air passenger jet made an emergency landing at a Canadian military air base late Tuesday after the airline received a bomb threat.
The airline says its U.S. call center received the threat about 25 minutes after the Boeing 777 took off from Vancouver International Airport on a flight to Seoul. The plane was diverted to Comox air base on nearby Vancouver Island, escorted by two U.S. F-15 fighter jets dispatched from nearby Portland, Oregon.
Korean Air says inspectors were conducting a safety inspection of the plane.
The same flight was the target of a bomb threat on Monday shortly before it took off from Vancouver. The flight was delayed for two hours while authorities searched the plane.
