Japan’s Nikkei Rises Again

Japanese markets closed higher Wednesday, while the U.S. dollar is lower against the Japanese yen. Tokyo’s Nikkei index gained more than one percent to finish at 10,082. In currency trading, the dollar was selling at 80.95, a loss of just over one-tenth of a yen from Tuesday. Gold is trading at $1,515.70 an ounce.

Small Gains for Japan’s Nikkei

Japanese markets closed slightly higher Tuesday, while the U.S. dollar is higher against the Japanese yen. Tokyo’s Nikkei index gained a fraction of one percent to finish at 9,972. In currency trading, the dollar was selling at 81.13, a gain of on-third of a yen from Monday. Gold is trading at $1,498.88 an ounce.
