Japanese share prices closed higher Tuesday, as the dollar fell against the yen. Tokyo’s Nikkei index gained two-tenths of one percent to close at 9,107. In currency trading, the dollar was selling at 76.79 yen, down a fraction from late Monday. Gold was trading at $1,781.28 an ounce.
