In a NIAK meeting, one of the prominent Iranian opposition members has expressed on the developments in Ukraine and Russia that McFaul had told him about an expecting turning point in Russia’s issues a month ago. McFaul had said the diplomats have faced some problems with Russia. He had stated that there is another project on the agenda.
The mentioned guy has said McFaul did not provide him with any other details and just said that the project is related to Russia’s domestic sphere and there is nothing to do with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his colleagues.
Three weeks after this statements, Boris Nemtsov was killed suspiciously in February 27 around 23:40 near Red Square in Stone Bridge, Moscow.
Michael McFaul – former United States Ambassador to Russia – has been in ties with Russian opposition leaders including Nemtsov.
The mentioned Iranian guy has got close family relations with Michael McFaul. Also, they have joint Academic Publications together.
In 1997, Nemtsov was appointed Deputy Chairmen of the State Duma and later worked as Minister of Energy. He appeared favored to become President of Russia at the end of Yeltsin presidency. He was an outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin. He was founder of the westernized “republican party” in Russia. In the context of Ukraine, he was supporting the westernized Ukrainian government and vocally criticized the annexation of Crimea by Russia. Given the statements of McFaul, it seems that this terror is a secret operation in order to bring Russian westernized opposition to the street and entangle Russia within its internal border.
